Action D.1 – Summer monitoring at Ronciglio

Concluded the summer monitoring of the re-enforcement of the population of Calendula maritima carried out at Ronciglio. A year and half after their reintroduction in the wild, 80% of the surviving plants are healthy, while the remaining 20% show evident signs of water stress due to the long-lasting summer drought. Of the transplanted individuals, 60% did not survive, but within 6 of the 10 transplanted nuclei there are several new seedlings born from seeds.
