The second monitoring survey of the two new populations planted last February at Salina Calcara was carried out. Two months after plantation the survival rate is high (94%). A few plants (1%) show evident symptoms of stress, while 52% of the surviving plants bear flower buds, 25% are in bloom and 5% have ripening fruit.
Regarding the two populations planted in February 2020, the situation since last monitoring is stable; survival rate one year after reintroduction is about 65%, and currently 100% of the surviving plants are in full bloom, with a good production of flower buds and ripening fruit, and with new seedlings originating from natural dissemination increasing.
