Monitoring of the reinforcement sites of Colombaia and Isola Lunga

The monitoring of the two reinforcement sites of Colombaia and Isola Lunga has been carried out. Compared to the previous monitoring, there was an increase in mortality in both sites due to the extreme drought of June and July. However, after the summer storm of the past few weeks there was a slight improvement in the conditions of the plants. At Isola Lunga,  currently about 21% of the initial 250 plants have survived. 85% of surviving plants show symptoms of water stress. However, about 6% of the plants have flower buds and are in bloom. As regards Colombaia, a survival rate of 33% was found. 88% of surviving plants show symptoms of water stress and about 10% of the plants have flower buds and are in bloom.
