Exceptional reproductive success of the Ronciglio re-enforcement nuclei

Monitoring of the re-enforcement action of Ronciglio revealed the presence of a conspicuous amount of young Calendula seedlings born from the dispersion of the vitro plants reintroduced last February. After the first autumn rains the germination of the seeds dispersed during the summer season began. Near the plant holes, in particular, we found a hundred plantlets already at the stage of 4 leaves, in addition to an indefinite number of newly germinated seedlings. The new plants are variously distributed in 9 out of the 11 original re-enforcement nuclei.
