On the anniversary of the March of the Zingaro held on May, 18th 1980 as well as of the 30th anniversary of the regional law on protected areas, the Sicilian environmental association, managers of nature reserves, organized the regional event “Preziose per Natura”, which took place from 18 to 20 May, at the Botanical Garden of Palermo. Moreover, within the event Oasis Day, on May 20th, the Festa delle Oasi took place in the Nature Reserve Saline di Trapani e Paceco, organized by the local section of WWF.
The CNR-IBBR participated to both the events, in collaboration with the WWF Saline di Trapani e Paceco. A notice board explaining the Life Project CalMarSi was displayed and educational workshops were organized addressed to children and young people, focusing on the sophisticated techniques put in place to propagate such a particular plant.
