Action D.1 – Monitoring the impact of concrete actions on the conservation status of the target species

Concluded the monitoring of the activity of re-enforcement of the population of Calendula maritima carried out at Colombaia Island in the area cleared from the invasive exotic plant Carpobrotus edulis. Four months after planting, almost 80% of the plants is healthy, 48% bears flower buds, 40% is in full bloom and 18% will soon disperse the seeds. Among the planted individuals, 22% did not survive, whilst those established do not show any symptom of water stress.
