Action D.1 – Monitoring the impact of concrete actions on the conservation status of the target species

Concluded the fifth monitoring of planting results carried out at Salina Calcara within the activity ’Reintroduction of Calendula maritima according to the criteria of species traslocation’ (Action C.3). At the beginning of the summer season, more than 70% of the plants is healthy, 36% bears flower buds, 38% is still in blooming and 52% will soon disperse the seeds. Among the planted individuals, 14% did not survive, whilst among those established, 12% shows clear symptoms of water stress, that compared to the previous monitoring has dropped.
