Concluded the third monitoring of the plantation carried out at Cala Pozzo on the island of Favignana, within the activity ’Reintroduction of Calendula maritima according to the criteria of species translocation’ (Action C.3). About three months after planting, despite the adverse weather conditions of the past weeks characterized by a strong scirocco (warm and dry) wind, most of the plants (72%) are healthy, around 75% bears flower buds, 40% is in full blooming and 75% will soon disperse the seeds. Among the planted individuals, 15% did not survive, whilst among those established, 14% shows clear symptoms of water stress.
