The construction of the barriers to protect the existing and newly introduced populations of Calendula has started on. The first part of the fence in Ronciglio has already been completed; for the new sites, two of the four fences foreseen at Salina Calcara are almost completed, whereas the construction of another fence at Cala Pozzo, Island of Favignana, will be done the next week. The protection barriers are preparatory for the plantation of the new populations, that is planned to be completed within mid-February.
