The monitoring of the three reintroduction sites was carried out. The survival rate at the Fortino site is around 44% with 3% of the plants in bud, 14% in flower, 12% in fruit and 3% showing water stress. As for the Favignana site, the plants reintroduced during last three years show different results. The 2020 plantation has a survival rate of 51%, with 100% of the plants in bud, 96% in bloom, 100 % in fruit, the one of 2021 has a survival rate of 35%, with 81% of plants in bud, 69% in flower, 96% in fruit and 4% under water stress, while the last reintroduction has a survival rate of 84%, with 25% of the plants in bud, 12% in bloom, 42% in fruit and 37% showing water stress. With regard to the Salina Calcara site, the plants reintroduced during last three years also show different results. The 2020 plantation has a survival rate of 43%, with 83% of the plants in bud and in flower, and the 86% in fruit, the one of 2021 has a survival rate of 33%, with 66% of plants in bud, 78% in flower and 83% in fruit, while the last introduction has a survival rate of 75%, with 37% of plants in bud, 31% in flower, 63% in fruit and 17% showing water stress. In both the Calcara and Favignana sites, numerous plants issuing from natural recruitment were monitored. They are healthy and already produced both flowers and fruits.
